Billbee, the software solution for order processing, item management and process automation in e-commerce, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Today, with a team of 50 employees from all over Germany, the company supports over 24,000 users in making their business processes more efficient and successfully expanding their e-commerce business.
From an idea from the DIY community to an established software solution
Billbee's success story began as a private project: Jan, the founder of Billbee, was looking for a solution in 2009 to efficiently create address labels and invoices for his wife's DaWanda shop. Since he could not find any suitable software on the market, he quickly developed a tool himself, which quickly became popular in the DIY community as a “printing invoice”.
The growing demand within the community led to the software being further developed and finally launched in 2015 under the name Billbee as a full-fledged e-commerce solution. Since then, Billbee has developed from a simple tool to a comprehensive software solution that today enables thousands of retailers to do business efficiently.

“Billbee was born out of a practical need, and it is precisely this approach — creating solutions for real challenges — that is still with us today,” explains David Pohlmann, CEO of comrce, the software hub that includes Billbee. “The fact that we now have 50 employees on our team and support more than 24,000 users shows how strong the idea behind Billbee is. ”
